8:00 AM to 10:00 PM

8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Noon to 10:00 PM

Borrowing Privileges

Some loan periods for students are:
Books 28 days
Music CDs 7 days
Videos/DVDs 7 days
Reserve Items 2 hours

NEW PERIODICALS and REFERENCE materials may be used only in the Library. Back issues of Periodicals may be borrowed.

Lost Material

Lost Items

Please report lost or missing materials immediately to Mrs. Barber, the Circulation Desk Manager so that the fine can be stopped. Materials that are not returned to the Library within a reasonable period of time, or by the end of the term, will be deemed missing. The borrower's account will be charged for the current replacement cost of the material, plus a processing fee of $5.00 per item.

Additional Services


A photocopying machine is available for student, faculty, and staff use.


Approximately 12 networked computers, as well as wireless access to the Taft Campus Network, are available within the Library. The campus network provides access to the Internet, RhinoCAT (the Library online catalog), and an extensive collection of online reference sources and databases. These databases are also accessible from dorm rooms and offices, as well as remotely using your Taft Network login and password.


The Library loans out small pocket video cameras. We also have tripods and headphones available as well.

Interlibrary Loan

The Library will borrow materials from other libraries that are unavailable at Taft. Please fill out the ILL Request Form.


The Library has its own instructional classroom as well as several rooms available for group study. A VCR/DVD viewing station is also available.

The Library has a modest quantity of supplies which are available to students, some for a small charge. These include pens, post-it notes, highlighters, index cards, CDs, and DVDs.
