Student Accommodations

Taft is committed to ensuring equal access to education for qualified students with documented disabilities by developing appropriate and reasonable accommodation plans, distributing them with appropriate faculty members, and advocating for students. These accommodation plans are tailored to reduce or eliminate disadvantages caused by disabilities, allowing students to participate fully in all programs without altering essential curricular elements or graduation requirements. To request accommodations, students must submit appropriate documentation that details the impact of the disability. This documentation enables us to make consistent, informed decisions on a case-by-case basis. Please note that accommodations used at previous institutions are not guaranteed to transfer automatically to our program.

Standardized Testing Accommodations

Students who have an official Taft Accommodation Plan may be eligible to receive accommodations on standardized tests. The ACT and College Board have different processes for determining eligibility and accommodations at Taft do not guarantee their transfer.
