Sierra graduated from Haverford College with a degree in English and minors in education and psychology in 2018. Her previous experience includes student-editor for Haverford's literary journal and research assistant at the library on campus. The Queens, New York, native has also served as an intern at The New York Literary Magazine and as a fellow at Titagya Schools in Dalun, Ghana. She was a four-year member and captain of the Haverford College varsity women’s basketball team, where she received All-Conference honors and competed in the NCAA tournament. Sierra began her career at Taft as a teaching fellow, and she earned a master of science in education from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2020. She currently teaches three sections of English, serves as the dorm head of Congdon House, assists with girls varsity basketball, and works with the community service program in the fall.
