Nolan Grooms ’19 Awarded Bushnell Cup as Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year

Nolan Grooms ’19 was awarded the Bushnell Cup as the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year on Monday, December 12, coming off a season where he led the Yale football team to an outright Ivy League Championship. The Asa S. Bushnell Cup has been presented annually since 1970 and is awarded “by a vote of the Ivy League’s eight head football coaches to the players who display outstanding qualities of leadership, competitive spirit, contribution to the team and accomplishments on the field.” Grooms finished the season with 1,660 yards through the air and another 726 yards on the ground, as well as 20 total touchdowns (14 passing, 6 rushing).
