During the fall and winter, Taft is offering an Advanced Performance Conditioning program designed for varsity athletes or future varsity candidates who want to get specific instruction on how to prepare for their upcoming seasons.
Ben Prentiss, who is a highly successful and widely known professional strength and conditioning coach, will be leading the program, along with members of his team. Prentiss has been working with professional and Olympic hockey players for almost 20 years. He is one of the few trainers worldwide to hold a Level V certification.
"Prentiss and his staff have trained athletes in every sport that is offered at Taft," said Rachael Ryan, co-director of athletics. "His off-season training programs have been recommended by coaches, advisors, and agents, and Taft is happy to be able to bring Prentiss's expertise to campus."
