When Marvin Sibanda ’19 takes the field in Orlando, FL, on December 1, he will be in elite company: Marvin has been named to the 2018 All-American Soccer Team.
“This is, obviously, a really special honor,” says Taft’s Head Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach Ozzie Parente, “I'm not sure how many All-Americans we've had at Taft, but he's certainly the first for boys' soccer since I've been here.”
Forty of the nation’s elite boys high school soccer players have been invited to take part in 6th Annual High School All-American Game in December. Marvin, who was named Midfielder of the Year by the New England Soccer Journal last fall, will play for the 2018 East All-American Team. The players selected are currently seniors playing their final high school seasons.
