Ms. Courtney Smyth
Courtney joins the Taft faculty after a career working with her family’s company CMC Food, the owners of The Farmer’s Hen eggs. At CMC she worked closely with community outreach, accounts receivables, and was on the rebranding committee. Before her time in the business world, Courtney attended Kean University where she was a four-year starter and a three-year captain of the softball team. During her time with the program, the team captured two NJAC league titles and three NCAA tournament appearances. Courtney punctuated her softball career with tallying second in the record books for career wins, second for career strikeouts, and third for innings pitched. At Taft, Courtney is the Director of Student Activities and the International Student Program Coordinator, and coaches volleyball and basketball, and will work as an adjunct in Centennial.
