Biography:

Samantha (Sam) graduated from the University of Vermont with majors in history and political science and a minor in French. At UVM, she was also a member of the Honors College program, co-student editor of the UVM History Review, member of the Lawrence Debate Union, and elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. Sam then earned an English-teaching fellowship and spent a year living and working in the champagne region of France, where she first discovered her love of teaching foreign languages. When she returned to the States, she taught fourth grade math and social studies in a French immersion school in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to New Hampshire to teach French in the IB Programme at a Lakes Region boarding school. Sam holds a public school teacher's license in the state of New Hampshire and is currently pursuing a Masters in French from Middlebury Language Schools. At Taft, she will teach French in the World Language department and live in HDT 4 with her partner and member of the history department, Brian Lundgren.
