Biography:

A graduate of Fordham University and Middlebury College, Collette is a University of Pennsylvania Teaching Fellow in the World Languages Department. Collette earned a B.A. in French Language & Literature from Fordham University in 2022. At Fordham, she was a starting player for Fordham University’s Women’s Club Soccer team, a digital producer for The Fordham Ram (a student newspaper), co-directed Fordham Dance Marathon - the university’s largest student-run philanthropy - and was a member of Fordham’s Retreat Team. After graduation in 2022, Collette taught English at primary schools within the Tarentaise Valley of France. It was here where she fell in love with teaching and learning languages by immersion. Upon the end of her teaching program, Collette pursued a Master of Arts in French Linguistics and Pedagogy with Middlebury College in conjunction with Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3. She wrote her Master’s thesis on the perception of the French obligatory liaison by native English speakers and its impact on their comprehension. At Taft, Collette teaches French, lives in Congdon, and coaches JV girls soccer.
