Biography:

Ashley graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in film, television and theater, and a minor in science, technology and values. After two years serving as Director of Media and Community Relations for the Maine Nordiques, she decided to pursue a master’s degree in library science. She went on to earn her MS from UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Information and Library Science, where she also worked as a research librarian for the Environmental Protection Agency and a student librarian at Mills Park Middle School.

Ashley’s interest in librarianship stems from the role that curiosity has played in her life. From diving headfirst into documentary filmmaking at the age of seventeen to writing a mystery novel inspired by Greek mythology as a senior in college, she’s always been motivated by a desire for discovery across many disciplines. Her enthusiasm for guiding students in their own research endeavors, as well as literary and creative pursuits, is ultimately what drew her to this field. When she’s not in the library or lost in a good book, Ashley can be found out on the golf course, closely analyzing various craft tutorials on YouTube, or spending time with her cat, Winona.
