
Ms. Emily Drakeley
Emily graduated from Taft in 2017. During her time as a student, she was a dormitory and school monitor, member of the varsity basketball team, two-year captain of the crew team, and recipient of the Berkeley Matthews Award. She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Boston College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Hispanic Studies. She rejoined the Taft community after a year of teaching, coaching and serving as a dorm parent at the Canterbury School. At Taft, Emily teaches in the Mathematics department, is an assistant coach for the varsity basketball and crew teams, and serves as a Mid Class Dean. She lives on campus in Congdon, where she also serves as Dorm Head. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Education & Human Development from Wesleyan University.
