About Head Coach Michaela Mosher

Michaela joins Taft as head coach of the girls’ varsity lacrosse team and a member of the athletics department. A graduate of Muhlenberg College, she captained the women’s lacrosse team while earning a degree in Media and Communications and Film Studies. She played in every game as a defender, led her team in caused turnovers, and ranked among the conference’s top defenders in both ground balls and caused turnovers. She was also named to the Dean’s List and selected for the Centennial Conference Honor Roll.

Prior to Taft, Michaela served as an assistant coach for the women’s lacrosse team at the University of Bridgeport. In that role, she led film analysis, developed opponent specific scouting reports, and implemented both offensive and defensive systems. She played a key role in restructuring the team’s offensive strategy, helping the team to record setting performances and significantly boosting offensive output. Over her two seasons, the program achieved its most wins since 2015, earned its highest ever conference ranking, and produced seven All-Conference and three program record breaking players.

Earlier in her career, she was the head coach at Lauralton Hall, her high school alma-mater, where she was a four-year letter winner and team captain. As a head coach, she implemented structured offensive and defensive systems and coached four All-Conference and three All-State players.

Since 2018, she has coached with Gold Coast Lacrosse, working with athletes across all age levels and helping players develop both their skills and recruiting profiles. She has also coached with the New Balance All-America CONNY team, where she collaborated with other elite coaches to bring together top athletes from Connecticut and New York.
