Win 5-4
It was a wonderful way to end the season for JV Baseball. The team got an outstanding performance by freshman Brandon Kekedjian who went the distance and only allowed 2 earned runs against the powerhouse Loomis. Taft kept the game close throughout, trailing by 4-2 for most of the game. Close plays at the plate by Jack Adams and Johnny Dorio still had us trailing by one going into the bottom of the 7th. Down 4-3, McNerney struck out but on a passed ball and error reached second base. After a strikeout, centerfielder Matt O'Toole ripped one down the line to score McNerney to tie the game. Then Omar Veliz came up and put together a wonderful about that ended up advancing O'Toole to second with two out. Then our catcher and team leader, Jack O'Donnell came up to bat with a chance to win it and hit a double over the head of the centerfielder to win the game!
