Watertown, CT – Taft won 4-1 over Williston on a chilly afternoon to celebrate Parents Weekend. Although the game began slowly, Taft scored first as Mayan Ewert ’20 continued his scoring streak after a solid assist from C.J. D’Virgilio ’20 in the 24th minute. Williston responded with a goal two minutes later, forcing the Taft team to push forward even more diligently for the remainder of the game. The team’s collective efforts were rewarded, and Devin Johnson ’20 scored Taft’s second goal of the day in the 45th minute. Unsatisfied with a 2-1 score, Mayan Ewert scored a third goal on an assist from Nixon Jennings ’22. C.J. D’Virgilio scored a fantastic header in the 70th minute from an assist by Lucas Escallon ’20. With this score, Taft secures its sixth win and continues its strong season.
