Win 4-0
Boy's Thirds Soccer hosted Salisbury on Saturday. The lads had won handily at Salisbury a couple of weeks back and were looking for a repeat performance on parent's day. However, things got off to a slow start and there was some selfish play limiting scoring opportunities. Nevertheless, on the 18th minute Joe Dayton won the ball in a scramble near the opposing goal and put it away for 1-0. Later in the half, Salisbury hit the crossbar but Taft managed to see out the half 1-0. The lads came out after the break playing more as a team, putting together some nice passes, and getting an early goal as Chris Preziotti got on the end of a Darren McNerney cross for 2-0. When Mac Childs left the field after clashing heads with an opponent, the remaining four defenders (Charles Weld, Alex Downey, TJ Gresham and Isaac Korus) did some solid work keeping Salisbury away from keeper Bryce Smith. Two more Taft goals followed in the half, both from Tucker Mullen. The first was assisted by JinYoung Min, the second was all Tucker, to end the game 4-0.
