Win 7-0
Taft welcomed league foe Westminster to Watertown on Wednesday for their penultimate home game of the season. The Big Red offense came alive early and Taft's unified effort resulted in 6 first-half goals and 7 overall for a 7-0 win. Taft came out of the gates quickly. Patience Kum '21 opened scoring in the 8th minute off a feed from Amanda Graziano '21. Taft would not look back and kept the pressure on. Kayla Thomas '20 played a stout game defensively winning numerous goal kicks, punts, and taking the ball off the feet of Westminster strikers. Captain Emilee Adami '19 would add Taft's second in the 18th minute. Anna Koziol '20 added her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute that started a flurry of action right before halftime. Graziano would score just 40 seconds after Koziol and Kum would add another two in the final three minutes to open a 6-0 lead. All would add to the Taft victory in the second half with Susanna Adams '22 scoring Taft's seventh goal on the day to cap scoring in the 7-0 victory. The attitude and emotion were present from the get-go and the results were easily seen. Taft kept the energy up regardless of the scoreboard and played great team soccer. The Rhinos will travel Ethel Walker on Saturday for their first of two important away games.
