Taft JV Volleyball started their season with a great overall team effort today at home, and they were able to come away with a straight set victory over Ethel Walker, 25-10,25-18,25-10. The Rhinos were led by strong serving of co-captain libero Tiffany Tam '20, Caro Gura '21 and Holly Hu '21. Eugenia Torbar '21 showed good energy as a middle hitter and setter Katy Hrazdira '22 did a great job of chasing down balls. Keren Egu '21 also filled in as middle hitter nicely with some early season illness taking its toll on some players. Carter Amaden '21 did a great job of playing out of position as an outside hitter. Taft will look to improve their communication on defense when we face Kent at home at 2:30pm on Saturday.
