In front of a spirited crowd at Parents Day, Taft was able to stay undefeated in league play, cruising to a three set victory over Greenwich Academy, 25-11, 25-14, 25-18. Following a familiar theme, everyone contributed to the victory today. Carter Amaden '21 led all players at the service line with ten aces, closely followed by Tiffany Tam '20 with nine. Maile Kuyper '20 and Ellie Ketchum '20 had three aces apiece and made great improvements on their serving during practice this week. Utilizing solid back row play by Taline Almasian '19, Annie Segalas '21 and Tiffany Tam, setters Caro Gura '22 and Katy Hrazdira '22 were able to set up their hitters for success. The team combined for 16 total kills, with Eugenia Torbar '21 leading all hitters with five kills and Annabel Firestone '20 contributed four kills. Taft travels to Kent on Wednesday and looks to play an evenly matched JV squad.
