Win 48-45
With thirty seconds to play in the first half, Pomfret held a two-point lead. Natalie Hodak then scored the last four points of the frame on consecutive short jumpers from the right side to give Taft a two-point advantage, 21-19, heading into halftime. After the break, the Rhinos' hot shooting continued as the team poured in four 3s - two from Hodak, one each from Maggie O'Leary and Sophie Webb - on its first five offensive trips. But the visiting Griffins would methodically whittle away at Taft's double digit advantage, and only stellar defense and timely offense from Anna Csigirinszkij (6 points, all in the second half), and inside dominance from Kayla Robinson (8 points and twenty-one rebounds) sealed the win. Hodak led all scorers with a career high 24. Tessa Graebner and Eliza Ford each scored 2 points in the first half. The team now breaks for exams, then heads to the Groton School and Lawrence Academy Holiday tournament for three games the weekend of December 15th-16th.
