Taft JV suffered a tough loss to a talented Westminster team. The Martlets scored first at 17:45 off a fast break with the Rhinos scoring six minutes later from a series of midfield transition passes that started with Ashley Kunzelmann to Anna Wice and with Luly Bradley getting the final stick on the ball. Deadlocked at 1-1 at the half, the game was up for grabs. Both teams fought hard throughout the second period in a game with very few whistles and even fewer corners. Alas, with approximately five minutes remaining in the game the Martlets were awarded a penalty corner and were able to use that advantage to score the go-ahead goal. The Rhinos didn't quit and pushed to the cage until the final second of the game. Their perseverance, teamwork, and tenaciousness deserve praise. Go Big Red!
