Loss 0-4
The Taft Thirds Field Hockey team dropped another game on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon, despite fighting valiantly. The final score of the game, against Canterbury's JV team, was 0-4. Taft's starting nine were Maheen Ahmad, Samantha Gulden, Tatum Brewer, Brooke Adair, Anna-Lee Lynch, Alicia Sze, Mackenzie Kloss, and Andrea Grandisson. Isabelle Smith played goalie for the second time this season, and she did standout job, recording five saves in the first half alone, including one great save during a fast break. Instead of playing the second half, Canterbury and Taft had some fun and mixed the two teams for a 20 minute full field scrimmage. The Taft team, which normally has just nine total players, greatly enjoyed the chance to play on a mixed team with a full eleven players and subs. We are very grateful to Canterbury for their willingness to try something new during a game!
