Win 3-1
After a long bus ride down to Greenwich, Taft was able to come out and quickly win the first game, 25-14. Led by superb defensive saves of Holly Hu '21 and Annie Segalas '21, Taft was able to keep the ball in play and extend several rallies. Katy Hrazdira '22 and Caro Gura '22 were solid as they shared setting duties today. India Brown '23 came out swinging as a middle hitter during the second game, tallying four kills. As usual, she was a positive teammate and really encouraging of everyone on the court. Carter Amaden '21 and Kia Kellenberger '22 played well in the backcourt, and Fa Taepaisitphongse '21 did a great job of communicating with her teammates on defense. Even though Taft dropped a close second game 23-25, we didn't give up and came back even strong in game three. Tessa Graebner '21 and Keren Egu '21 were solid as middle hitters, and Tessa had some key kills and blocks to spark several Taft rallies. Omi Oliver '23 got on a serving rally in the third game that helped extend our lead and win the third game, 25-13. Elle Piercey '22 was a rock on both offense and defense, and Emma Jacobi '22 gave her some much needed rest on defense. The final scores were 25-14, 23-25, 25-13, 25-18, and we had a team victory once again. After several away games, Taft looks to prepare for Parents Weekend this week against Kent at home.
