Taft defeated Miss Porter's on Saturday by a score of 3-1. The scores in the sets were 25-14, 25-14, 17-25, and 25-14. The Rhinos served excellently all match long; their goal was 75% in, and they finished 75/91 which was an impressive 82%. They had 38 aces, with Julissa having over 10 of those aces. The setting duo of Angie K and Brooke were rock solid all match long setting up the front row players. The front row of Angel, Angie M, Emily, Kaitlin, and Skylar were swinging hard all match long and accounted for several kills. The back row of Julissa, Kate, Merrill, Mia, Nicole, and Susannah did an amazing job of handling the serves and attacks of Miss Porter's. Taft worked hard in practice on their defensive coverage, and they showed tremendous improvement from their last match Wednesday. Their energy was consistent all match long, and seem to be benefiting from the pre-game “foot fires.” The Rhinos will enjoy a nice weekend and get back to work in practice on Monday.
