Loss 1-2
With a week to prepare, the Rhinos travelled to Salisbury to take on the Knights for the second match between the teams. The Knights jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first period before the Rhinos responded in the second period. Wesley Carbone sped down the left side through the neutral zone as Zack Tonelli jetted past the Knights defender on the right. Carbone found Tonelli with a tape to tape pass for Tonelli to deflect into the open cage. The Knights responded with a tally of their own before the end of the second. James Donaldson, who was also in net for the Rhinos for the 1st win against Salisbury this season, played a stellar game--stopping numerous screened shots, breakaways and odd-man rushes. The penalty unit was forced to kill off a 5 on 3 as well as 4 other minors before Taft was able to play on the power-play. Justin Humenay drew the call however the Knight's goaltender was able to keep Taft at 1. Final score Taft 1, Salisbury 2. Next game is this Saturday during Winter Family Weekend against rival Hotchkiss in Odden Arena.
