Win 3-1
Taft took on Trinity-Pawling. They stepped onto the windy pitch determined to apply strong offense in the game’s first half and met those expectations. Kartal Tepebasi fed Will Franco a cross in the box seven minutes into the game, and Franco delivered the service into the back of the net. He scored his second goal of the game at the fourteenth minute after a skillful run up the left wing. Trinity-Pawling created multiple chances on corner kicks and took a direct penalty kick in the twentieth minute, scoring their only goal of the match. Taft followed with a third goal from Kartal Tepebasi, who carried a through ball breakaway to the end. Although the second half of the match remained scoreless, Taft dominated position on the Trinity-Pawling goal side and made several opportunities. The defensive line held back any counterattacks and retained a clean sheet for the latter portion of the game. The Rhinos now prepare for a grudge match against Avon Old Farms on their home turf this coming Wednesday.
