The Frederick Gunn School
Win 10-1
The Big Red collected a convincing 10-1 road win over a young but determined Frederick Gunn School team. In the sixth minute, KK Baffour flicked a cross back to the top of the Gunn School penalty area, and from twenty yards out, Ben Zirener smashed the ball into the top left corner of the goal, giving the visitors an early lead. It was a fantastic goal and a sign of more to come from the Rhinos. On the day, Enoch Duodu recorded a hattrick, and Baffour added a brace. Nolan Jacobi also notched a goal, while Jordan Grivekov, Joaquín Mañon, and Alejandro Gharzouzi eached opened their Taft scoring account. Baffour, Matthew Quiros-Newton, La Zai Outerbridge, Jacobi, Alex Henderson, and Patrick Gallagher all chipped in with assists. To the home team’s credit, despite an early deficit, The Highlanders fought hard the entire ninety minutes and scored a well-worked goal towards the end of the first half. For the Rhinos, goalkeepers Conrad Lynch and Aidan Foley each did well in their varsity debut between the sticks.
