On Wednesday, the Rhinos faced off at home against Northfield Mount Hermon. In a tightly contested match, the Rhinos took the lead after Angelica Megdanis '23 was taken down in the penalty area. Faith Graziano '23 calmly converted the penalty. An outstanding run on the dribble by Megdanis '23 saw her carry the ball 40 yards before being taken down by the Northfield defender. NMH was able to equalize shortly before half time on a floated shot from distance that found the top corner of the net. Following the restart, both teams competed strongly. With under 3 minutes to play, a brilliant piece of quick thinking led Faith Graziano '23 to quickly take a free kick as the Northfield goalkeeper was setting the wall. The ball flew into the top corner giving the Rhinos the lead. Throughout the remaining minutes, the Rhinos defended furiously and saw out the game as winners. Taft will host Kent School in their next matchup on Fall Family Weekend.
