Taft defeated IMS by scores of 25-23 and 25-20. It was a back and forth match, and much credit has to be given to IMS for playing a great game. The Rhinos were overpowering with their serves over the course of the match. Emilly Gonzalez, Julianne Jin, Maya Lewis, Dani Ip, and Caiya Niewisnski all had multiple aces for Taft. Maxine Maag had a great kill from the middle hitter position and Tiffany Zong, Kayli Henderson, Claire Schlesinger, and Ny'Ana Hauser all had great games in the front row. The defense of Theresa Alves De Oliveira, Maggie Zeng, Julia Markelon, and Isabella Reyes-Famous was rock solid as well. Taft looks to defend their home court on Saturday against Greenwich Academy!
