Taft battled it out on Camp this afternoon for Senior Day, earning a hard fought victory over a gritty team from NMH. Starting seniors, Tatum Eades, Cal Ferraris, Jenna Guglielmi, Brooke Marx, Gwen Thompson, and Eva Witkowski went hard off of the first whistle. Lots of back and forth action in the first quarter, both teams earning several penalty corners but unable to convert. Taft reset focus in between quarters and started to connect better inside their attacking 25. Finley Davignon would put Taft on the board first with just two seconds left in the second quarter, in perfect position to finish on a cross from Evelyn Hidy. NMH would score next with five minutes remaining in the third to even the score at one heading into the last quarter of play. Taft worked hard deflecting aggressive play to maintain possession and generate attacking opportunities. Maisy Ricciardelli would capitalize on a loose ball in the midfield, sending it up field to find Eva Witkowski who would assist Evelyn Hidy for the game winning goal with just three minutes left to play.
