A spirited Taft team headed to Lakeville this afternoon for their rivalry game with Hotchkiss. The Rhinos played most of the first quarter on their heels, in the defensive zone, unable to generate much attack. After a quick reset in between quarters, Taft started to put more together through the midfield and a corner conversion would put them on the board first with a goal from Maisy Ricciardelli, seven minutes into the second quarter. The third quarter saw lots of back and forth possession, both teams battling hard. Taft would be awarded a penalty corner as time expired and after a few resets, Chloe Agopian would find the back of the net to put Taft ahead by two heading into the fourth. Defense held strong, Jenna Guglielmi recorded 10 saves in net on the day and the Rhinos left Lakeville victorious.
