Taft took on a strong Ethel Walker team. Taft came out strong though and controlled the passing game. About 25 mins into the first half, Ethel Walker got a break away after a moment of poor communication on the Taft team and scored a goal, their first shot on net of the game. Taft responded 7 mins later with a beautiful cross by Grace Denious '22 to Coco O'Brien '25 who finished with her body. There were a number of strong corner kick opportunities that arose in the first half, which were all well-played, but none completed. There were two other goals scored as well by Taft, but both were called back for off-sides. With 19 mins remaining, Grace crossed to the middle in front of the net, which was completed by Ruhi Vindun '25 for the game winning goal, her first of the season! Taft continued to control the ball for the next 19 mins and completed the game with a win, 2-1. The Ethel Walker goalie should be commended for her strong performance. Taft Co-captains Margo Kahler '22 and Grace Denious '22 should also be noted for their outstanding work in the middle of the field, setting up plays to their teammates the whole game. And finally, a big congradulations to Ruhi Vindun for exciting goal. Next game is home agains K-O on Wednesday.
