Win 13-4
After playing another Monday game, Taft Boys' JV had a quick turnaround to host Trinity-Pawling on the final day of the season. The hosts settled in for a competitive first quarter, trading goals before going up 2-1 thanks to another faceoff goal from Matt Edwards. Gabe Fasano, Jedd Spencer, Grayson Moniz, and Emile Zogbi would add tallies before the end of the quarter to put Taft up 5-2. The Second frame was all Taft as goals by Jett Honig and Gabe Fasano would increase the lead to 8-2 at the half. The second half was a decidedly more physical affair, with Taft taking a number of penalties and having to play man-down for much of the third quarter, finishing the quarter with a 10-4 lead. Jack Johnson added a goal in the 4th as Taft pushed its lead to a final score of 13-4. Credit to our man-down unit including Ryan Timberlake, Jesse Peck, and Mateo Sanchez, for killing off a number of penalties. Taft finishes the season with 10 victories and 2 defeats in a very successful campaign that saw huge improvements by a number of players. Our offense tallied 91 goals for the Rhinos while our defense allowed just 28 goals all season. Special thanks to Captains Qaiden Gordon and Quintin Ross for their leadership throughout an excellent season.
