Racing against Trinity-Pawling, the boys put on a commanding performance. We were without our #2 runner, Augi Booth, and our top runner, captain Jude Celebi, was fighting off congestion, headache, and cold. Jude valiantly led us for the first half of the race, but then had to drop back. However, the rest of the team had Jude's back and ran together as a pack and stayed ahead of all the T-P runners. Our first finisher, Tate Celebi came through in 17:32. Right on his heels were Ali Griswold (17:33), Rory McNamara (17:41), Huck Griswold (17:42), and Malin Adams (17:44).With the top 5 finishers, we were guaranteed the lowest score a team can earn in cross-country. This pack finished within 12 seconds of each other--a truly incredible display of working together. Additionally, each boy set a PR. Trinity-Pawling's top two runners came across before Jude Celebi (18:35). Trevor Stellmach ran a PR in 19:12 to finish off the varsity running. On the JV side, Jed Spencer led us with a PR of 21:01. Completing their first races in a Taft uniform were Aarav Dodhia (22:03), Jayden Pipero (24:53), Edward Tse (25:38), Bobby Wu (25:43), Gavin Poon (27:38), and Christian Yeung (28:35). In the middle of that group, Michael Ren PR'd with a 26:07.
