The team took to the road for their first game vs. Greenwich Academy. GA proved to be a challenging first opponent, scoring 4 goals in the first 2 quarters. The Rhinos adjusted to GA’s style of play and were able to hold them off to only 1 additional goal in the remaining half of play. Ellie Odero, Bella Dane, Fiona Zimon, and Maddie Hsu held down the defensive end and made some impressive stops on GA’s many scoring opportunities. While the Rhinos had less action on their offensive end, Harper Teles, Sophie Brown, and Reiley Pascale ended up with some great possessions, though they were unable to convert for goals. The Rhinos look forward to taking the lessons learned this game and coming out with a strong effort against Sacred Heart on Wednesday (9/21).
