Salisbury School
Win 1-0
The Taft Thirds soccer team traveled to Salisbury on a lovely Saturday afternoon to play an always-tough Scarlet Knights side on a tidy little field where you can practically touch Massachusetts and New York. Anyways, both teams came out playing energetic, creative soccer by passing and possessing. Taft earned a 40-yard free kick about three minutes into the match. Andrew Jimenez sent a nice ball forward to Miller Masterson who redirected the ball past the ‘bury ‘keeper for the first and only goal of the day. Both teams played very hard after that for the full 70 minutes and both teams built good chances but the ball never touched the net again. Christian Barbuto played very well in the goal for Taft and Viktor Maag had another good game on the defensive line. Our next match is this Wednesday at Hotchkiss at an early 2PM. See you up in Lakeville!
