On a near perfect day Taft xc ran another very strong race against a very strong field. Everything about the race made for fast running - Loomis' relatively flat 3.15m course, five solid teams (Hotchkiss, NMH, Exeter, Loomis), with a lot of runners and spectators. Charlotte Murphy battled with Loomis' 2nd runner and Exeter's 1st through most of the race and finished 3rd overall in 19:55 after hitting the first mile in 6:10. Kate Cicchetti ran another controlled race and moved up to take 6th in 20:17, and Sydney Grogean (19), Annabell Sorensen (20), and Rina Kurihara (21) rounded out Taft's scoring five. Lena Rukkas (30) and Charlie Brodhead (33), in her first race back, filled out the varsity for Taft in the field of 83 runners.
