Taft's JV Volleyball team put on quite the show for Parents Weekend! Although off to a slow start at the beginning of sets 1 and 2, the team rapidly cleaned up their play to win both sets off of smart attacking from outsides Kaitlin Ip (C), Meredith Hui, and Isabella Reyes-Famous. Put in position by great passing from our libero, Rachel Chae, and excellent setting from Maya Lewis (C), Eno Kissi, and Tanya Muangman, the team finished a close second set at 25-21, after trailing 15-5. They came back into the third set on fire, with six aces in a row from setter Maya Lewis to give the team a lead that never really closed. The team played incredibly dominant volleyball during the third set. Marta Sukovic, Alexie Blake, and Alex Werner contributed great defensive plays both at the net and in the back court. All in all, the team really warmed up over the course of the game and came out with a clean sweep to cap off a week of wins! Taft JV Volleyball is now 4-4 on the season!
