The girls finished the season with a strong showing at the New England Championships, with every runner - on both Varsity and JV- recording a personal best time for the season on Loomis' XC course! It was great to have the opportunity to return to the course we raced a month earlier to see how the girls were able to progress over the season. Overall, Taft girls XC experienced a competitive day, leaving with a 7th place finish for the Varsity, and 12th place for the Junior Varsity. Charlotte Murphy led the way for the Varsity Rhinos with an All-New England 18th place finish in 20:17! Following shortly after was Rina Kurihara in 28th place at (20:33), then Kate Cicchetti in 32nd at (20:43). Leading the final pack for our Varsity runners was Freshman, Maya Woodhall (22:00), then Sydney Grogean (22:11), Vi Lapham (22:18), and Brooke Wilcox (22:40). Our Junior Varsity team was led by Junior, Tatsha Kumthampinij who placed 23rd in the race to record a personal 5k record time of (23:22), which was more than two minutes faster than her previous time at Loomis earlier in the season! Eleanor Lemon led our first pack of Rhinos with (25:09), where Molly Wynne (25:17), Louisa Prentice (25:28), and Andrea Poon (25:29) shortly followed. Our last and final pack of runners was led by Sally Higgins (25:53), where Farren Camp (26:39) and Bernice Zhang (28:13) had strong finishes to record personal bests of the season.
