Founders League Tournament
Placed Second
Today was an exciting day for the Taft Rhinos! We were able to come home with second place at Founders for our Varsity girls, placing three of our runners in the top 15! The Rhinos ran strong and worked together to secure these finishes. Junior, Charlotte Murphy crossed the line in 8th place with (21:09) and Senior, Rina Kurihara followed quickly behind in (21:12) for 11th. Then came Senior, Kate Cicchetti (21:45) for 15th place. Senior, Sydney Grogean (22:53) led the next pack of girls with Freshman, Vi Lapham kicking in at (23:09), then Freshman, Maya Woodhall, (23:12), who all ran competitively and worked alongside Senior, Brooke Wilcox (23:14) throughout the race. Additionally, our Junior Varsity Rhinos came home with a Fourth place finish, having a runner in the top 15 as well! Junior, Tatsha Kumthampinij finished in 14th place with (24:50). Then Junior, Molly Wynne led the next pack of girls with (26:68), followed by (JR) Sally Higgins (27:07), and (JR) Louisa Prentice (27:20). Then came in Freshman Eleanor Lemon (27:49) and Andrea (27:54), who were nearly stride for stride, along with Sophomore, Farren Camp in (28:08). Our last and final pack worked together, also stride for stride, were Freshman, Bernice Zhang (31:07) and Sophia Zhao (31:07). We thank Hotchkiss for hosting a fabulous meet, and we look forward to racing them again next weekend at the NEPSTA Division I cross country championships!
