Taft's harriers cruised to a 15-49 nearly perfect victory over Choate. Running in muddy and wet conditions, the varsity pack raced as a single unit. Celebrating his birthday, upper mid Tate Celebi led all runners with an excellent time of 18:18. Rory McNamara, '25, just edged out senior co-captain Ali Griswold in identical times of 18:36. Just one second behind was Huck Griswold '25. Finishing off our scoring was upper mid Malin Adams, just 5 seconds behind Huck. Thus we had a pack of 4 runners finish within 6 seconds of each other. Rounding out the varsity race were senior Augi Booth, 18:58, and upper mid Michael Xu, 19:38. This was Michael's first race in a Taft uniform, and he finished on the heels of Choate's number 1 runner. In the JV race, Jed Spencer '25 led the way with a 21:16. This was 20 seconds faster than when he ran here last year in the Founders League Championships. Jed was 19th overall, and second in the JV race. Our JV pack then produced amazing results as they finished overall in places, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 35, 36, 37, 39. These great runs wee accomplished by middler Eli Arroyo (21:36), lower mid William Zhao (21:58), lower mid Dylan Shi (22:01), middler Will Post (22:20), lower mid Dylan Muellers (22:35), lower mid Carson Chen (23:24), middler Aarav Dodhia (23:35), lower mid Jayden Oon (24:01), and middler Gavin Poon (24:22). Finishing off our run were lower mid Andrew Dong (25:58), lower mid Tom Bodson (26:41), and middler Steven Zhang (26:44).
