Win 27-28
Taft Girls Cross Country competed in their second race of this season at Choate Rosemary Hall. It was a muddy one, with the race beginning with damp socks and cool temperatures. It was a close race, but our Rhinos ended up winning the race with 27-28. Junior, Rina Kurihara led the Rhinos from the start and won the race in (21:06), where teammates, Kate Cicchetti (21:51) and Sydney Grogean (22:19) quickly followed for third and sixth place. Freshman, Maya Woodhall led the next pack in (23:03) with teammate, Brooke Wilcox (23:11) finishing right after to secure places 8 and 9. Then came Viola Lapham finishing in (23:39) for twelfth place. Sophomore, Estelle Magnan (25:32) led our next group of girls, along with junior Tatsha Kumthampinij (26:11), who both looked strong finishing! Then came sophomore Louisa Prentice (26:51), Andrea Poon (29:17, Farren Camp (29:22), and Eleanor Lemon (29:24) bring it home for the rhinos! Overall, Choate ran a competitive race! And despite the slower times on the rainy terrain, our girls really came forward towards the end of the race.
