October 14 - Choate - 34-6 L Taft plays tough in the rain but loses to Choate 34-6 HIGHLIGHTS Taft’s defense was stout against the pass, only allowing four completions for 78 yards. Andre Crews ‘24 led the Rhinos defense with 6 tackles and an interception. Sam Lovell ‘24 played an outstanding game both at linebacker and at quarterback in the second half as he replaced Gilbert Kimrin ‘26 who left the game with an injury. Lovell’s touchdown pass to Tyler Krasa ‘24 in the fourth quarter was the first of his Taft career. Ben Bazarian ‘25 had two tackles for a loss and played well on defense all afternoon NOTES Today was the 79th meeting between the two teams Choate’s last touchdown of the day should not have counted as they had 12 men on the field The Rhinos head to Avon, CT this Saturday, October 21, to take on Founders League Rival, Avon Old Farms.
