Loss 43-16
Score/ Result: 16-43 The competition was fierce and the rhinos really established themselves early on, showing how competitive we can be as a team. But Taft Girls Cross Country ending up losing to Loomis, with a score of 43-16. Leading the rhinos was Senior Rina Kurihara (20:31), who worked stride for stride in the beginning with Junior, Charlotte Murphy (20:56) and ended up finishing some seconds apart on the back end of the race. Kate Cicchetti (21:02) quickly followed a few seconds after. Both Cicchetti and Kurihara earned personal records on the course! Maya Woodhall (22:13) led the next path, working throughout the race with Senior, Sydney Grogean (22:21) and Brooke Wilcox (22:42), and then Vi Lapham (23:00). Leading our next pack of girls was Junior Tatsha Kumthampinij (25:46), followed by Sally Higgins (26:39), Andrea Poon (27:32), and Farren Camp (27:57) to bring it home for the rhinos! We are happy to come home, learning some lessons from this race, and excited to get the chance to see Loomis again in another month. But thank you (to Loomis) for hosting such a competitive racing field!
