1-4
On a rainy, Saturday October evening, the Taft ladies took on Choate and fought hard for 80 minutes. In the first half, an early penalty kick at 6 minutes helped Choate score their first goal. The Taft Rhinos followed with several fantastic opportunities on net, led by Faith Graziano ‘24, Ruth Amposah ‘27, and Alessia Schettino ‘24. Choate tucked away two more goals, one at 27’ and another at 32’, to close out the half. The Rhinos came into the second half looking for redemption: Graziano scored just 3 minutes into the back half of the game. Choate followed quickly with a fourth goal at the five minute mark. The lady rhinos held off Choate for the remainder of the game. Despite several great opportunities — including back to back corner kicks at 28’ — and outshooting Choate 12 to 8, the Taft ladies just couldn’t quite catch up. Certainly fantastic play on the part of our girl’s soccer squad!
