We traveled to Northfield Mt. Herman today with only four subs and won.  It was a pretty back-and-forth game, but NMH had quite a few chances that Michaela Lynch turned away.  Our defensive unit was strong and didn’t allow NMH to score on any of their penalty corners.  We only have two forwards playing today, so we had Zoe Chiweshe and Maniah Williams move up from the forward line, and they were tremendous assets.  Our first goal came off a corner where Zoe inserted the ball up to Effie Young and took a straight shot that went right to the backboard of the goal.  We maintained that lead for quite some time until the 4th quarter when Maniah won a hard-fought ball and passed to Sophie, who was cutting into the circle.  She took a shot from the far right post, and Caroline Myles cut in just in time to tip it.  A short time after that, NMH scored a great goal, but we could hold on to the win on the road!
