Taft traveled to West Hartford to compete against Kingswood Oxford for the Founders League Championship. They did so in front of a large crowd which added a high level of excitement. It was a great game played by both teams, but unfortunately the Rhinos came up just short against a very strong and well-coached team. Despite outhitting the Wyverns 11 to 6, and collecting four walks and five HBP, Taft was unable to come up with the big hit with runners on base. The chances were there, and if a couple balls bounced different ways, the outcome could have been different. It was an incredible season as the team earned 13 wins. The coaches are very proud of the way the team competed all season long, and they are excited for more success in the coming years. The seniors will be missed, but they helped to build a strong culture where winning is the expectation. The team earned some great honors including the following: Owen Palmer and Cooper Tantraporn were both voted to the Honorable Mention All Founders League Team; Omar Minaya and Oliver Lefkowitz were both voted Second Team All Founders League; and Cayden Van Dolah and Noah Jettelson were both voted First Team All Founders League. In addition, Noah Jettelson was voted the Founders League Player of the Year. Thanks to everyone who made this season such a special one.
