Taft 5 Salisbury 0. This was a good confidence booster for Taft. From the start, Taft were given more room to play than they have been used to in recent matches and took advantage. Will de Luca,, Eugene Acevedo and Liam Shannon all had chances on goal in the first ten minutes, which was mostly played in Salisbury’s half of the field. Tate Phillips earned a hat-trick during the last 15 minutes of the first half. Each of his goals came from running with the ball through the Salisbury defense. Will Kugler made a couple of runs froward but was caught offside.The second half saw Will De Luca score a fourth for Taft, also running through the Salisbury defense.Eugene Acevedo and Jonathan Chneg teamed up well in midfield and attack, creating some good chances – Jonathan’s best effort went just wide of the post. Wes Rising had a good chance go over the bar. Near the end of the game Casey Gan, who has been a solid defender for Taft so far this season, got forward into the box to score Taft’s fifth.
