The Rhinos traveled to Farmington to play the Fighting Daisies today. The keys to TAFT’s game were to play with urgency, to communicate, and to work together. Porters took the field today determined to shut the Rhinos down, holding Taft to six shots in the first half and four shots in the second half. Lily Cook started in goal for the Rhinos and had several saves. New to defense this afternoon saw the likes of Olivia Dumont and Hannah Eliot. In the midfield were Kyra Mcnerney and Hollen Spain working to distribute the ball. The second half saw more than five saves from goalie Annabelle Wyman, two of which were spectacular diving saves that found the ball careening out of danger. Taft's only goal came from from Middler Piper Desorcie off of a goalie scrum and a deflection from a Stirling Thompson tackle. The goal fired up the Rhinos but the Big Red couldn't rally. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the Fighting Daisies. Taft will play Choate on Saturday at home at 2:30PM.
