Win 3-1
The Rhinos played a tough game against Greenwich Academy on Saturday afternoon, feeling the heat and the pressure of a team with strong serves and quick ball movement. Each member of the team contributed with thoughtful passes and a hustle to put the ball back on the other side of the court. Our team came out strong winning the first set 25-14. We fell to GA in the second set (25-20) when we could not return the serve. Feeling eager to push back, the Rhinos took the third set quickly, winning 25-10. Then in the fourth set, the team, led by Kunchok Palmo's serves and Annie Segalas's digs from the back row, won the game with a 25-16 set. Keren Egu, Celine Anyaegbunam, Kunchok Palmo and Annie Segalas put great deep serves into play. Our back row players including Regan Bragg, Ariel Bushka, Avery Hamilton and Megan Sng dug the balls and communicated well. Our front row players including Elvira Garcia Rodriguez, Fa Taepaisitphongse, Savannah Love and Alina Ahmad put up a great defensive line on the net. We look forward to working on setting up three-touch plays and improving our court communication. Although we have a break this Wednesday, on Saturday we travel to Miss Porter's for our first away game at 4:30PM.
