Rumsey Hall School
Loss 0-3
The Taft Rhinos finished the season today on a high note, despite the loss against a very strong Rumsey Hall team. Every player put her best volleyball skills forward, from passing to serving to blocking to hitting. Even Coach O'Shea from the Varsity team made an appearance to congratulate the team on such improvement throughout the season. The scores of the individual sets (I: 23-25; 16-25; 14-25) show how these Rhinos kept their energy and their determination. Ariel Bushka '21, Annie Segalas '21, Regan Bragg '21 and Elvira Garcia Rodriguez '20 had incredible serves, including some aces that kept our momentum strong. Keren Egu '21 block a hard hit from the other side. Our back row led by Captain Megan Sng '19, Sinthya Guaman '21, Avery Hamilton '21, Savannah Love '21 and Fa Taepaisitphongse '21 dug the ball out and received tough serves well. Alina Ahmad '20, Kunchok Palmo '20 and Celine Anyaegbunam '21 had great tips and hits to the other side. We even had two Vogelsteins at the table today, as Natalie '20 wrapped up an incredible season as our manager side by side with Rumsey's manager, her brother. Coach Stoughton and I are so proud of this team and what it has accomplished over the course of the season. Our thanks and gratitude to these players and our supporters! Go Big Red!
